That's a hopeless situation that no one wants to find themselves in but yet homelessness in America is a growing concern. In 2012, (633,782) people across America were homeless. 1 out of 5 children are homeless every year, that's equal to 1.5 million children in America. Because of turnover in the homeless population, the total number of people who experience homelessness, for at least a few nights during the course of the year, is thought to be considerably higher than point-in-time counts. It is for this reason new homeless shelters are needed to meet the growing demand.
