HAND - UP

Community Action Programs can be found almost in every city, however QCTI's "Hand-Up Program", works to correct the problem that caused the need for assistance. Giving the participant both financial aid and teaching them to live within a budget. Our goal is to help them become Self-Reliant and prosper in society.

Each participant will be evaluated and given help and aid according to their specific needs. Our pledge is to stand with you until your able to stand by yourself and insure you recieve the knowledge and skills to stand and thrive on your own.

Imagine for a moment, that you go from living in a three bedroom home with your family to living on the streets with no where to go and no one to turn to for help. That's a hopeless situation that no one wants to find themselves in but yet homelessness in America is a growing concern. In 2012, (633,782) people across America were homeless. 1 out of 5 children are homeless every year, that's equal to 1.5 million children in America. Because of turnover in the homeless population, the total number of people who experience homelessness, for at least a few nights during the course of the year, is thought to be considerably higher than point-in-time counts. It is for this reason new homeless shelters are needed to meet the growing demand.
